LOOKING AHEAD AT FLAG
Women’s Conference
May 17 & 18
All ladies 16 years & older are invited to attend FLAG’s “The Lord Is Our Peace” Women’s Conference. We will gather at Los Cuco’s Mexican Restaurant-Katy Mills on Friday evening at 7p for fellowship & good food. (Separate checks) Registration required. Saturday morning at 10a in FLAG Main Sanctuary, Sandie Mundis will be ministering to us, along with the FLAG worship team. Sandie Mundis & her husband, Greg, served for many years as missionaries to Austria & also, as national director for Assemblies of God World Missions. Sandie has experienced God’s peace & faithfulness many times but none so profoundly as when her husband contracted COVID early in 2020. She has written their story in Patient #1-Embracing Hope in Times of Despair. There is no cost to the conference; a love offering will be taken. Nursery care 0-preK is provided on Saturday. Please invite your friends & prepare to be strengthened as we worship together. For more information, contact Pastor Rebekah at [email protected].

Missionaries of the Month
The *V——— Family - Turkey
These missionaries met in Chi Alpha at San Houston State University. In 2017 they began a two-year term in Jordan, learning the Arab language and culture. It was during this time that the Lord called them to reach Syrians.
From 2020 to 2023 they served in Ankara, Turkey where they helped run a community center for refugees from Syria and Iraq. They also helped to facilitate a fully Arab refugee-run church. In early 2023 their team helped raise money for food, clothes, and other necessary items for the survivors of the earthquake that affected Turkey and Syria.
Currently, they are in the U.S. itinerating. When they return to the mission field they will be going to Haifa, Israel. They have two young children and are expecting another daughter in July.
